Visual Noise is the second quilt in the Tuning In/ Tuning Out series.  This body of work explores the impact of digital media on communication in our daily lives and personal relationships. As technology increasingly tunes in to us, we are tuning out. In this modern digital era, so much competes for our attention.  Technology follows us everywhere.  Advertisements everywhere, content tailored to our search history.  Technology is tuning in to us, and we are tuning out. 

Visual Noise represents the constant bombardment of advertising, that promises a better version of ourselves if we just buy what is being offered.  Our attention is being pulled away from the reality that is happening around us.
